Grant Straub is a dedicated music and talent agent and a proud partner at Parton Productions, where he combines a lifelong passion for music with a deep commitment to artist advocacy and professional integrity. Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Grant spent much of his childhood abroad. At the age of six, while living in Scotland, he discovered his love for music and picked up his first guitar under the mentorship of a master classical guitarist and Royal Air Force pilot. Upon returning to Canada, he pursued classical guitar studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music, laying the foundation for a career built on discipline, creativity, and respect for the craft.

After high school, Grant joined the Canadian Armed Forces, serving in Bosnia and Kosovo until his retirement in 1999 and spent the following 25 years in law enforcement serving his community. His military and law enforcement experience instilled in him a strong sense of duty, resilience, and leadership—qualities that continue to shape his approach to talent representation. In civilian life, Grant has seamlessly blended his love for music with a commitment to supporting fellow veterans, organizing music festivals that benefit veterans.

As a key figure in Calgary’s vibrant music scene, Grant performs with The Scarecrows Band and with Born to Run Canada, a salute to Bruce Springsteen. His dual role as both performer and agent gives him a unique perspective on the needs and aspirations of the artists he represents.
